What sort of brake upgrades are out there for the Fiero? I like Crzyone's brakes when I saw them, and makes me want to upgrade mine. What is out there for better brakes, and what is the cost for them? Oh, they are for my 86.
I know some people upgrade to grand-am brakes but the disadvantage to those is you lose function of your e-brake. I think its something like 92 GA brakes and the cost is pretty cheap, about the same as replacing with stock fiero brakes.
11.25" brakes. I can't tell you a total cost, but I thought it was pretty cheap... and I'm pretty broke. I just upgraded the fronts though, since what, 70% of the braking is done by the front... I replaced calipers, rotors, rubber lines, and MC.
The system is pretty unbalanced though, so I plan on upgrading the rear soon.
I doubt there is much difference in braking between the LeBaron brake upgrade and the Corvette. I opted for the corvette mostly for the bling... It does cost quite a bit, especially if you use all brand new parts like Donk and I did.

i actually thought the fiero brakes worked better with stock front and grand am rear because it corrected the brake bias... atleast thats how it felt on one of my last fieros

yeah, thats what I got too, and it make the fronts grab way to much
got most the parts for the 11.25 - except the rims to fit around them....being poor sux....

they fit with the stock 15" GT rims...
if you feel like grinding clearance on the backside of the rims

You only remove casting marks on the rear wheels. Fronts fit just fine
If you want "big" brakes I suggest a minimum 16" rim. Depending on the rim it will be big enough for the corvette brakes and definitly big enough for the LeBaron brakes.
Personally, I wouldn't waste my time with the GA brakes. About as good as stock 88GT brakes, which are still not great.

Eh, I didn't have any problems with them at the track..
The reason I want to upgrade is so I still have decent braking under low vacuum, i.e. when I'm going to stop fully so I push the clutch in. I don't know if its just because of my cam timing or not, but my brakes SUCK around town. Just a bit more leverage and they'd be alright.
have you been on an auto x with the 3.4dohc? I imagine you would feel some brake fade with a 3.4. I upgraded to the corvettes because I could brake fade the stockers with the 2.8 and a couple spirited stops. The N* would have been dangerous with stock brakes.
