If i had the extra 13 grand I would.
I was actually thinking FC+LS1. Theres a FC T2 here that one guy just about had enough with the 13b. So disassemble 13b. Have cool looking rotor mantle pieces and LS1's new home.
Still a long shot (very doubtful) but was curious.

I would avoid the swap, the rotaries are AMAZING engines, small, and light. But they do have a really peaky power curve, and can leave you down on low end.

I like your car, but to be honest with you, wouldn't pay you what it's worth for it. I was thinking 3500ish myself, which I imagine is a bit less than you're looking for.

Ya i dunno. Just thought would first thoughts would do.
My friend has a monster turbo'd bridgeported FD. drooool.
I guess I'll hold on to the little shitter for a while.
I need to show some follow through i guess. I think I would get stuck on the FC idea. :blah5:
anyways thanks for the inputs.

Rotaries are nice when naturally aspirated, especially preipheral port rotaries, but they're fragile when turbocharged.

When was the redesign? I hadn't heard much about turbo Renesi engines, but I thought that was mostly due to engine management difficulties.

Yeah, that's what I thought...
I guess time will tell. At any rate, an FC won't have the Renesis apex seals.

The renesis is the embarassment of the rotary crowd.
Rotories live for boost. They have insane exhuast pressure. Theres no other way unless its a 787b or something crazy like that. But 13b wise, boost is the only way. :salute:
Theres a reason the FD only came turbo.

Until it detonates. Once. Then it's down from three chambers to one. If you're lucky. Hello apex seal rebuild.

You'd be surprised how much boost the stock 13rew apex seals can take. My friend threw a little over 21 psi at it for a while til they blew. i think the stock twins actually blew first.
Either way you can get aftermarket very strong apex seals to replace it with.
Don't be scared of boost.

Drop the whole LS1 idea, shit drop the whole RX7 idea. Drop an LS1 into the Fiero and shove that up the asses of your RX7 friends.

I love RX7's but the Fiero is worth more to you than it is to anyone else. I almost sold my Formula last winter, but I thought it over and decided I would never be able to make up the time and money I've spent on it. Besides it took my 5 years to get over selling my 87, and that was only a duke.
He called the shit poop

Thought about that. I don't want to spend a shitload for a tranny that can take it. As well as over 2000 for a decent ls1. Also the rx7 is easier to make faster. basically $ per hp is less. I think i would have more fun in the rx7. Better for autox, handling, stronger tranny etc.
I would keep the 13bt that the t2 rx7 has and build that up a bit.
Unless the fiero would run high 10's low 11's with the LS1 I would still behind the rx7s here. :afrocool:
