or get a skyline and get frustrated with rebuilding the engine or tranny etc.

seems like the only motivation donk has for selling is being frustrated with the fiero right now

I'll attribute that to Levi as well. You've only got to tune the car... at least tune it an enjoy it for a while before you sell it.

If you don't have any time for the Fiero, how are you going to have time for a Skyline?

Thats the thing though.... 3 years of building and buying *ALMOST* gets me to stock tweaked Skyline performance. I drove one this week. Im hooked. The Skyline doesnt need new suspension / new brakes / new engine to compete with everything else on the road.

3150 lbs / 400hp (not stock but basic exhaust/intake/ecm work) / 4wd / 4ws. Yeah im going in that direction.

Went to look at one yesterday. 1991 GTR 59,000kms for $17,500. Comes with 3" full exhaust, 3 plate clutch, 235/40r17s all around, HKS intake.

Even if my Fiero doesnt sell. Im going Skyline. The Fiero can sit for a few years while i slowly finish it.

The whole reason i decided to go this route with my Fiero was to have Skyline / Supra performance and ...yes i know... it sounds stupid... but i wanted a car with a low and high boost button. Thats why i went with all the high end JDM electronics.. Now im keeping the SAFC2 and AVCR and a few other pieces and they are going onto a Skyline.

If i dont sell the Fiero it will be built NA and then sit in the corner or something.

no argument on the performance for less work - as long as nothcing breaks from being beat to fuck..

but i'd have to convert it to left hand drive

Unlike the fiero, the skyline is a racing car first. It has a transmission and engine that can handle abuse all day long with crazy horsepower. The Skyline is basically detuned for the street.

There is no saying that my fiero will ever sell for what I want for it, but if someone comes along with the right price, its gone.

The pedal arrangement is the same RHD as LHD, so you don't have to relearn throttle control. You just have to get used to powershifting southpaw. It's probably a bit better for control because most of us are right handed and with the shifter on the left, you keep your right hand on the wheel. You don't need a whole lot of dexterity to shift.

What about when a wheel bearing goes in the Skyline, and you have to get one shipped from Japan, with a total cost of about $1000.00?

Same running gear as 300ZX (Z32).

Which has the same rear suspension as the 240SX.

Suspension stuff is easy to get.

Damn, I would have never thought that; the 300z looks a lot wider than the 240. BTW if I were to ever build a high performance jap car, it would prob be a 300zx, sweet cars! Sorry for teh hijk.

Is the shifter the same pattern, or is it reveresed?

1 3 5
2 4 R

Or is it:

5 3 1
R 4 2
