Windows problems... what else is new?

Post by DiggityBiggity »

Ok, look... I don't have the money to buy a MAC... I don't have the patience to set up Linux... Does anyone know of good programs that scan through windows and help fix simple to complex errors?? My computer is just acting funny these days... and I really don't want to effin do a format on it...

generally if you do a windows install (without removing any programs or formatting) it will smooth out the operating sys for another year or so..

I am told this program is the saviour for most of Windows ghosts

You should really look into:
http://www.ubuntu.com/

Sign up for a free CDROM shipped to you. Boot up the live version that runs from CD and have a looksee. Linux is getting easier to install than windows.

win xp usually doesnt need a re-load
the link above for "safer networking" is what you want. download the spybot 1.4 & use it regularly. update it regularly, etc.

also, go into you control panel/add remove programs, and get rid of stuff. ESPECIALLY toolbars. google toolbar, yahoo toolbar, morpheus toolbar, Savroam, MyWeb, etc.

Thanks guys... I've done all this, and run another program called Ccleaner(.com)

My computer is running much better... although, soon... I'll need to buy a REAL copy... since Microsoft detected this is pirated... and I no longer can get updates... BOO!!
