I want it......

Anyone done it have it and have directions. Its the aero nose piece cut and flipped upside down and fastened on. Wondering how much work it is to make it fit right and look good.

Notchback Fieros have the best looking back end of any car I have ever seen, why would I change that. I will go from my 86 aero bumper cover to an 87 coupe cover as the marker lense indent is sexier.

I recently fell in love with my car again, and I am going to be fixing all the little problems that bother me. The pointed up front is one of them.

Edit, went looking and this is the same as what jscott has in the front. The pic I saw of his was unfinished, and I saw Jinxmutt's uncles in person and his was really nice. Jinx, any pics?

To Each his own, but functionally and aesthetically, I am not sure why anyone would want to do this.

I'm forever seeing scraped or broken lips, is the stock one just not low enough? Why go through all the hard work of fitting and painting just to have to repair it again and again?

I know for me, the stock one is just fine. :thumbleft:

I used flat stock shaped to the nose and L-stock, welded bolts to the flat stock than bolted the L-stock from under the lip to hold it's shape.

Skitime is the one who made the best looking example of this mod and he copied it from a former P-f-f member known as Lawrence. I think there is a build up of it on p-f-f. Here it is http://www.fiero.com/forum/Forum1/HTML/025998.html
Luckily they mention it on the first page.

It looks to me like it would add lift to the front end.

it pushes a little more air off to the sides and over. but mostly its cosmetic. not as functional as the open mouth chin spoiler that rams the air through the radiator.

Agreed! Nice to see somebody else feels the same way. I swapped a base model bumper onto the rear of my aero notchie, it looks much better IMHO.

Current thread on Old Europe of two guys who did it well. Molded the two pieces together, one with fog lamp cutouts and one without. Both make the nose even to the ground, which is what the fiero needs in my NSHO.

See not everyone over there is a useless hack. I guess you get out of the forum what you put into it.

wow, whos it that? the solid color looks great. The thing with skitimes car is that its solid color but not blended together, I feel you can only get away with this if its not body color matching.

Jinxmutt is that your car? That is a very well done nose right there. My only question is doesn't that have the opposite effect that is actually desirable? it looks like it would create even more lift on the front end.

That was jinxmutt's car. He sold it soon after he finished it. Here is a picture of it from Carlisle in 2004. That is Minngreen's car to the left of it.

He had damaged the front end by then.

I guess it wouldn't really, any more then the existing shape of the nose. I was thinking that the curved shape would push air under, but it's probably not noticable.

I know he has a aero nose sitting in his garage or storage somewhere, so I hope he does it again for his 3800 car. Like stimpy said, how do you get your pants up over your balls driving around a bumperpad 3800SC car.

Scary to think that it will have over 300whp in 2 weeks.

The maroon aero nose I have is going to reworked a different way that I have in mind. But yes it will eventually go on this car.
