1 week Friday my POS hits the Dyno...

I made the appt today , 1 week and she goes ont he rollers (248C Dynojet) this will happen @ 6:00pm. I will be making a Video of it...

The specs

Northstar
Spec Clutch
Spec Alum Flywheel
The commander 950
ported exhaust manifolds
True 2.5" Mandrel bent duals
Dynomax mufflers..but I have been told when you can see right through them they are resonators.
No Powersteering

Any Guesses as to the power?

Im saying that after tuning she puts down a dismal 260 RWHP I guesstimate low. The engine is low mile.

The car is faster than my 97 M3 that put down 218 RWHP ont he same dyno.. This was with an air intake and a Dinan Exhaust.

Place your bets..

You're still on stock cam gears, right? Getting tuning done or just a couple of pulls?

285-295 HP, 275-285 TQ once it's tuned.

Faster? It oughta eat your old M3 alive...

Woop dee fucking doo.

Noone cares.

I say 193/230.

I mean PBJ made 289 with a larger displacement engine AND a turbo. So you wont' even come close to that having a smaller displacement engine and no turbo. I think you will probably just better my numbers. When we race I will add more nitrous and lay the smack down on the tubby bitch of yours!!!

ok ok I say 300/290 when all is tuned.

I am very interested in what it puts down. I would love to see 300 at the wheels, not a huge stretch with a short free flowing exhaust system and no accessories.

Whats different with the 2000+ motors besides the roller cams? I believe the compression is lower so it can run 87 octane?

Compression is slightly lower--10.3 vs 10.5 I think
That combined with a careful redesign of the chambers lets it make full power on 87 octane.

Do they measure HP from the factory with or without the accessories?

Either way, I think aftermarket computer, short exhaust, no PS, getrag?, and k&N intake I assume?

Probably 290hp 300 torque at the wheels.

Powersteering pump is Gondi , Walbro 255GPH pump , 3.5" Mandrel bent air intake I made using the mig and some pre-bent tubing. Getrag with a Spec Aluminum flywheel. The Flywheel may kill the torque a bit , but it sure pulls hard from a roll even without tuning.

??
light flywheel does NOT cost you ANY torque at all.

I say 250HP/ 280TQ at the wheels. Do I win for not going over??

Jon called me. TOld me he was involved in a little freindly race today

I wont' go into details of what kind of car it was or what happened as I dont' want to spoil jons story.

Lets just say teh competition car is a low 13 capable car when stock.

STi from a 30 roll. he has an Intake and a cobb accessport. I pulled 2 cars by the middle of 4th gear when I shut it down

and the car is running rich as hell. It made the 350kms drive back to where I work without a glitch

Dyno time friday!

The maps I uploaded were laughfed @ by my Dyno guy. There was so much fuel he said I could have run a blower.

Didn't get one pull in 3 hours , I have a cooling system issue...and the maps I had were so rich they killed the o2 sensor.

$300 later I have some issues to work out.

Oh Well :(

He went back to the dynho tongiht.

I wont' give any spoilers but he still has some issues. This time with the fuel system. From what I understand he will be back next week for more tuning. Its a good thing he went to the dyno. He could have had some serious fire issues if he didn't.
