Re: Daily RX8 with LFX?, lol

I'd have one, but the only way I really fit is with a racing seat bolted to the floor. Although not quite as tall as you Will, the RX8 roof was just about 1/8" above my scalp, so hat hair instantly.... looked up seat mods to lower it about an inch... got behind the seat to do the mod and it ha...

Re: High Feature V6 Swap

Just for clarification, I'm not opening up the OEM access ring, I'm cutting a hole in the side of the tank and adding the access panel just large enough to fit the standard GM fuel module body inside the tank, 5 1/4". Probably cutting back the fiero OEM fuel hanger/tubes and merely using it as ...

From my layman's perspective I can justify the cost of the sealed nut ring but the plate and gasket are a little excessive.

Re: Daily RX8 with LFX?, lol

AY6 or the same flavor that comes with the Cadillac ATS. Out of the box the RX8 has an "integral" re-bellhoused miata/BRZ/Toyota86 6speed, Aisin AZ6 manual. The Renesis torque comes in just under the max torque spec of the AZ6 box... high 170s'ish max tq if I remember correctly. The LS guy...

NIB Latest Model EastWood Tig 200 AC/DC Welder with 3 warranty

My EastWood Tig 200 went tango uniform about a month ago and just a few days out of it's 3 day warranty (purchase date vs receipt date). While waiting for a response from Eastwood, not expecting them to honor the warranty, I purchased another welder. Eastwood surprisingly decided to honor it however...

Re: High Feature V6 Swap

The fuel safe 4x6 oval is too small to fit a fuel module and the 6x10 is too big for any side panel on the fiero tank. Their largest circle panel looks to fit. I'll be coming in from the side behind the pump. The nut ring is a 16 bolt ring with a ~5.25" ID and the GM fuel modules are ~4.9"...

Daily RX8 with LFX?, lol

This landed in my lap. I was looking at something to replace my "restored" daily 2005 Mazda6s 5spd as it will probably go to my oldest... Asked around at a local Miata/Mazda turned general car Friday night meetup while walking out of a restaurant about the Rx8's and if they can ever be dai...

Re: High Feature V6 Swap

Maybe against my better judgement with regards to getting this thing up and running... (nothing ventured nothing gained but I've had enough of that with this build, lol) With the exhaust all but 'reconfigured' again due to alternator interference and needing some 'flex' in the system I'm moving on t...

Re: High Feature V6 Swap

Still plugging away over here, took some time to dig in and restart learning how to tig with SS instead of Aluminium... A gas lens and pyrex cup really helped me out. SS is far more forgiving but I still suck and end up spending waaaay too much time building heat into the pool and oxidizing the stai...

Re: rear sway bar?

If you aren't running a stock sized muffler / stock location (i.e. tight against the rear cradle) definitely consider building your own. Speedway motors has quite the selection of DIY sway bar rods, arms, and pillow ball mounts. The OE rear sway bar has a ~1ft "kink" in it to fit in front ...
