Re: A Pontiac Fiero App
Will, start with the Eclipse IDE and Android SDK. The packaged download is pretty foolproof for a software IDE. The Java tutorials from Oracle are very well written and comprehensive. More specific Android coding tutorials are also available. I haven't received any formal training in object based pr...

Re: Chevy Sonic
When I first started looking for a newer fuel effecient car, I was looking at pretty much every manufacturer except for GM. After test driving a Dodge Dart, Hyundai Veloster Turbo - Accent - Elantra, Ford Fiesta, Ford Focus, and Honda Fit, I tried a Sonic on a whim and really liked it. The back seat...

Chevy Sonic
Driving over a hundred miles a day now, so I got this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v87/FastIndy/Sonic/c31bb6f9-82c9-4183-9cc4-e14be6489fd6.jpg~original Not terribly fast (or at all fast, really) but it's pretty fun to drive and the fuel economy is pretty good. Turbo 1.4L + 6MT. Bought in May a...

Re: 9/11 - Explosive Evidence
Cliff's Notes? Small collection of architects and physicists make broad assumptions regarding failure modes of a complex structure, often ignoring evidence opposing their position present in their own video footage. The experts say that the 5-second "free-fall" collapse of WTC 7 was the s...

Re: My mom's dying of cancer
At this point, what I'm trying to do is embrace and cherish the time we have left, no matter how much it hurts. I picked up a video camera and I'll be videoing her reminiscing... maybe even with some friends. One of her college friends (who married my dad's brother after meeting him at my parents' ...

Re: My mom's dying of cancer
I'm sorry to hear that, my grandfather also died from colon cancer. Last summer we discovered that my wife's grandfather had pancreatic cancer. From the time it was diagnosed, he was alive another 4 weeks.
Good luck to her and your family.

Greddy Profec B Spec II
I've got a NIB Greddy Profec B Spec II that I doubt I will ever have a purpose for, since any ECM I'll be buying will likely have a boost control function. Will cut this forum a very small break over the $150 I have this priced under retail. $270 takes it, shipped. Hell, buy it and stick it back on ...

Re: AR Build
Very pretty (scenery in video and silencer)! I'd be interested to hear what subsonic sounds going through it. I also noticed that the "balance" of the gun seems to be off when you're holding it. Almost as if the end were heavy. How's the handling? I had just completely collapsed the stock...

Re: AR Build
Hah, yes, I had been saving up for this thing for about the last year. For me, the ergonomics and trigger were better enough on the HK45 to justify a -2 round capacity hit. Before I made this decision I tried to get trigger time with pretty much every modern/major .45 pistol currently in production....

Re: Got an iPhone, what are some cool apps?
Well I know you have an AR, so try Shooter. It's a ballistic calculation program that can sync up with a Kestrel handheld weather unit via bluetooth to provide real-time environmental correction factors (wind, density altitude, etc.) Pretty easy to use too.

Re: Bugatti Veyraon Qtr Mile
I just don't get how people can dismiss the Veyron. It can out-accelerate, out-turn, and out-brake pretty much everything on four wheels that you can put a license plate on. Not only that, it does it while basking you in luxury. It's a technological marvel, a masterpiece even if it is a little fugly...
