04 GTO or 01 BMW 525i?
Thats the decision I'm trying to make. I currently own the BMW. It's a 2001 525i. Has a 5 speed manual trans, power everything but 160K miles. It's a nice driving car but it's defenatly not fast. I work at the BMW dealership so I get a discount on all parts and I can fix it my self but I can sell it and make anywhere from $3K-5K. I paid $9500 for the BMW 3 months ago.
The GTO is a 2004. It has the LS1 (duh) and a 6 speed manual transmission. It's blue with the color match interior. It's a nice color but not my number one choice. Car has 36K miles and we just took it in on trade. Everything works and it's in good shape. Drives nice and has plenty of power, just what I want. I've wanted a GTO since they came out too! I'll probably sell the Fiero if I get one, I dont even drive the Fiero now. I can pick the GTO up for $16K. What do you think?

got a friend with an 05 LS2 GTO in the same color scheme - i had a lot of fun driving it since it had an intake, headers, H-pipe resonator delete, performance mufflers, and a tune. the power is very enjoyable and yet it still cruises quietly in 6th on the highway. the jaunt from 0-the warning beep (125mph) was very quick and he has plans still to turbo it for a happy 600hp
i actually started looking around for one after driving his

I say keep the bimmer. You want to ride in style right? GTO won't do that. Plus the bimmer has 4 doors. 160k miles? Thts like 30k on a gm car. That bmw can go forever if taken care of. And with that many miles on it with it still being so new, its probably a lot of highway miles which isn't bad at all.
You will want to haul freinds around and girls too. They don't want to climb into the back of a GTO. They will want 4 doors for easy ingress and egress. Plus chicks dig the beamers man. Its a nice car and nothing is wrong with it. I say keep it. the resale on it will always stay high.
You have your Fiero for your sports car. Have a nice all around driving and reliable car. Keep the bimmer.

speaking as one who has actually driven a gto - i was also impressed with its handling.. it doesn't feel like its as heavy as it really is... drives like a smaller lighter car..
oh oooh, and that V8 rumble is cool too :la:

Its really a Australian built Holden Monaro. No crappy North American GM engineering except the engine, which is a nice one.donk_316 wrote:WHAT?!!!
The BMW should WIN hands down!!! Who the hell would ever ditch a BMW for a friggin GM!
Most GM/Ford cars you can buy overseas are 100x better than the cars we can buy here.
