maybe taper is the wrong word. Bevel might be better. There is a bevel on the butterfly where it seals against the side of the runner. The guy at the machine place measured it but I forget the degree he stated. it might be on a notecard but ill have to double check.

as long as it's for the right size bore, I can't see the taper being that big of a deal. I do know a higher angle on the leading edge will make for a touchier/ snappier throttle then a shallower angle.

It's not a taper. It's a bevel, and the bevel is the opposite direction on opposite edges of the plate. That's so it can sit at a slight angle in a parallel bore and not get jammed closed.

It requires making a fixture that's something of a PITA to make.

Maybe Steven could 3D Print one...

semi recent pic of how I routed the charge piping without the t-bolt clamps. No intercooler in this pic but it will be hooked up with more boost. wastegate is at 3.5 psi right now but changing that out and looking at 80lb/hr injectors too.

http://60degreev6.com/forum/showthread. ... ITB-intake
itb intake cast to line up with gen 2 heads. might be able to port to line up with gen 3 heads since the roof was raised in gen 3. not sure.

here is a pic

http://www.shaun.saturnet.net/pics/3500.JPG

asking $2k with everything to bolt on. 24 or 36lb injectors, fuel lines, fpr, vacuum lines, yadda yadda

$1400 bare

matching heads ported by katech with ti retainers that flow 223 cfm on the intake are $600. Also has crane gold race roller rocker 1.5 ratio

3500 long block with WOT cam with .500+lift will be $3k for it all with aluminum flywheel

so I take it we will never see a pass or a dyno on this engine? :(

how does an idle video mean the car makes 700 hp? does that mean my car makes 550hp? the only dyno run on that youtube account is an iron head 3.4, hardly 700 hp...

A) I want my 0:28 back (Didn't bother to watch the whole thing)

B) That video contains neither a 500 HP dyno pull, nor opening a can of whoopass on the variety of car which would indicate that said Fiero had 500 RWHP.
