Sure, to pull a middleweight supersport you'd need north of 600whp. And the guy quite clearly can't ride for shit.

So you're going to add nitrous before you've tuned, dynoed, or tracked it? Go back to pfiff where you belong.

Good to hear. Don't be like GM and get rid of it when you get it right.

new rims and tires.

Enkei RPF01 with 225 50 16 Hoosier DR. Rim is a 16x7 with a 35mm offset. Had to get centering rings. Weight is 14 lbs for the rim. Total with tire was 34lbs. Old DR setup was a tad over 37 lbs. with the 15s

Is that why your clutch is slipping?

1980's GM econocar OE wheels are heavy

I dont know. Dont think so? Lighter setup should be easier on clutch? Tires are newer and softer. Maybe grabbing better at peak tq? I never felt my old drag radials spinning in third or 4th rolling into it so i dont think that's it

Hitting max boost and the clutch slips for a couple hundred rpm in the 3600-4000 rpm range. I am guessing that's around peak tq. Then after that it grabs and is fine.

Setup is pretty responsive. 5 lbs by 3k rpm in 4th gear rolling into it from about 2200 rpm. I think it just boils down to overpowering the clutch. Even justinbart couldnt get his spec 5 to hold.

I have thought of sending out my pressure plate to have it modified for more clamping force as well as going back to a steel flywheel. I am not sure if the few times its slipped it has gotten the steel insert in the aluminum flywheel to warp a bit making the problem worse? Won't know till I yank it all out again.

Engine hasn't died or exploded yet which is surprising. Its making good power

Cold start. Idles decent for a racecar intake.

Nothing new to report. No additional races although I have tried. Still runs good on alcohol. Weather will be cooling off in about a month so more driving will be happening I hope. Maybe a qtr mile run or two as well. Should do a low 13.

Turkey rod show coming up soon maybe get a run or two then. I might throw a sign on it too for a stupid price and see if someone will pay it

Survived a cat 2 hurricane.

Going to beat PBJ's sixty foot time, but still be slower through the traps?

So I had flywheel bolt back out. that's another thread and I hope I have a solution that will work.

while I have everything apart, I sent the pressure plate out to be tested. I am using a spec 5 clutch and their pressure plate. I can't remember where I got it, but I might have bought it direct as it could have been the cheapest.

Anyways, the pressure plate tested at 1500 lbs of clamping force. That's not enough imo. I want closer to 2000 lb if not a tad more. Does anyone know any off the shelf pressure plate that has more clamping force? I have already emailed spec to see what it is supposed to be. I also emailed ACT to see if they could do something for me since they make some 2600 lb pressure plate for the DSM platform. ACT website does not show a current pressure plate for a fiero but mybe they could do something one off.
