I can't afford free. Are there any places that will pay me, then put on the mirror?

The stuff they carry at CarQuest has served us well in the past. I don't know what brand.

We used that several years ago on our old Suburban. When we scrapped the truck, we tried to save the windshield... The mirror block pulled glass out of the windshield rather than letting go of the glass.

However, if the instructions say "clean with alcohol", CLEAN WITH ALCOHOL. We had several attempts fail prematurely because of cleaning with mineral spirits or other solvents. It finally stayed when we used alcohol, just like the directions say...

I picked up the permatex stuff. It has Chrysler GM and other OEM part #'s on it, so it has to be pretty good. Will follow the directions. :salute:

1 day and holding.

FYI - when they say "add one drop to button", they really mean "add two drops to button". I think the curved window makes a deeper pocket than most or something.
