Steering rack rebuild\replace?????
The steering on my 88 GT is a little loose, not big time just not what I would like to be. The tie rods have a little play so they will get replaced, the rack mount bushings are shot, they will be replaced. The question is, where do you find a rebuilt or replacement steering rack? And is it worth the effort? Like I said the steering is a little loose but not sloppy.

www.rodneydickman.com sells replacement rack bushings.
he means the mounting bushings - not the rack bushing
I am replacing the rack on a Escort, and using poly bushings for the mounts. I havent seen them available for Fieros.
but, as I mentioned in another thread - maybe this guy should just buy a block of poly, and carve out what he wants.
rack, spring perch & something else - cant remember what else he wanted to poly
I do have access to a mill, so maybe if he wants to do this - I wouldnt mind making a set of rack mount bushings. I will be doing my rack (again) soon. my autozone rebuilt rack sucked.....

Thanks
but, I will look into what it will take
