I finally have a new job!
So I've been in Texas now since January 15th (2008). Been looking for work, saw an ad in the local paper for 'job fair' at the workcenter. Went there, turned out to be "Volt' hiring for TI. Did their application, took their test. A week later they called me and told me to go to the TI place on ...

Mom's car is stupid (strange idle issue)
I'm not quite sure what to make of this. Whenever the car is idling, regardless of actual speed, the engine will rev up for a quarter of a second then drop back down, about every ten seconds. It's extra effort to make sure the brake pedal is down so she doesn't accelerate into a parking curb or the ...

Re: 88 Wheel bearings/hubs for 88GT
Unless you're lucky enough to find one at a junkyard, you're gonna need the RD one or that other thing. There are some people who have said the RD one's have bad grease, but I've replaced mine and it's been working great. Maybe they revised their design/parts/grease, I don't know. Getting the old on...

the energy that goes into forging a 50 lb deadweight will never get put back into the earth by the humans using it. I'm not being a smart ass, but you get the point right? Ok leave the gym open, but turn the AC off, your there to sweat anyways. Also pop out half the lightbulbs, or drop their wattag...

Haha, congragurations on successfully fixing your problems. Learn from my mistakes :D For once I feel like I actually know a little about repairing a car from previous experience, rather than reading in a book or whatever. When I pulled the old wires, I had the same grabbage happen, with them fallin...

The 20 dollar wires are going to have to do for now. I can't afford to get the 'spensive wires in one shot with the pay I'm making, not yet anyways. The one wire in the front was failing, but the wire in the back failed after the bologna with the fuel pump wire, because I somehow let it rest on the ...

5th Annual Coast Fiero Run - going? maybe?
Anyone else going? I plan on going, but it's going to deplete my bank account if my guessing at numbers is correct. hundred bucks for hotel, 30 dollars gives me ten gallons and I get maybe 150-175, 200 if I'm lucky miles on that, and about 300 miles each way......between 100 and 120 for gas = 220, 2...

The chrysler 2.2 and 2.5L OHC used in the K cars were not crossflow either, the intake and exhaust were on the back of the head, made for easy servicing of stuff like the distributor and oil filter, the enging was tilted backwards too. But I would hate to work on one of those engines with a turbo, ...

That won't work so good. Half the time, the tube is under pressure when the EGR is closed, and then it's under vacuum when it opens. I remember someone doing a writeup a long time ago about using a braided steel teflon-lined hose as a direct replacement... That always sounded to me like a fantastic...

 Does it shudder or surge at all on flat land at cruise? Are you sure it's the incline, and not just the load on the engine? I'm willing to bet it's a load issue; where the car is missing when under low throttle, moderate load. This is usually a timing issue, or else a vacuum leak issue (m...

RPM Loss?
I'll give those suggestions a try, but for now, I'm not hugely concerned about it unless it relates to my new (as of last night) problem. The hissing sound is barely audible, and I'm not even sure it's a hissing. IT DID PASS SMOG this time, turns out the SPARK PLUG WIRES had gone bad on me. Current ...
