Why do you put so much time and effort into a relatively stock 2.8l?
I'm not writing this to be a dick, I've just always seen the 2.8 as a money pit with minimal returns. Every design aspect, short of the 60* layout, is quite poor for performance. So why not engine swap? You've got a quality turbo kit, that uses good parts. Think of what that'd do on a 3400. From how I see it, you've got the resources needed, why stick with the 2.8?
I honestly want to know. I'm quite surprised at what you've gotten from the 2.8 as it is, but there is so much more so easy.
When the motor finally does give up, are you at least going to go to a 3.4 PR?
Shaun, I've got to ask.

No, no, no. It's 'capable' of making 800 whp. That's what matters remember?Shaun41178(2) wrote:With it making 800 whp though I figure no need to go to a larger motor.
So thats why.
And is this Tech section worthy? Shit needs to be moved.
